Axonaut advertises a subscription from €38 a month, priced by number of users, and a quote-based plan for companies with 10 or more employees. A custom management tool costs $6,800 to $22,400 (€6,000–€20,000)excl. VAT once: it makes sense when your processes go beyond what a general all-in-one tool covers.
Axonaut is a French all-in-one management tool: CRM, quotes, invoices, expenses, cash management, projects. It suits organizations that want a single, simple tool. As the company grows, two limits often appear: business processes the tool does not model, and teams working on the side in spreadsheets. Here is what Axonaut publishes about its pricing, a method for the 3-year math, and the cases where staying is the better choice.
What Axonaut publishes about its pricing
Information checked in October 2026 on Axonaut’s pricing page, its FAQ and its support article on subscriptions, all in French.
| Item | What Axonaut says |
|---|---|
| Entry price | “from 38 euros a month” (FAQ) |
| Pricing basis | price depends on the number of users |
| Plan for fewer than 10 employees | self-service, price calculated online |
| Plan for 10 employees or more | quote-based, with an account manager, setup, data migration and training |
| Term | monthly with no commitment; annual with at least 10% off; two years with 20% off |
| Features | all included, no paid modules; third-party services (e-signature, online payment, postal mail) billed extra |
What I could not verify: the exact price per additional user and whether prices include VAT. When I checked, the pricing page showed amounts that did not match each other (one headline price, another in its FAQ, and an empty price block). I therefore do not repeat them here: for a company with 10 or more employees, only Axonaut’s quote counts.
Calculating the 3-year cost
Since there is no public price for teams above 10 people, here is an illustrative example, with made-up amounts to replace with the quote you receive.
| Option | Annual cost | 3-year cost |
|---|---|---|
| Axonaut, assumption A: €300 a month | €3,600 | €10,800 |
| Axonaut, assumption B: €800 a month | €9,600 | €28,800 |
| Custom tool ($16,800 (€15,000)excl. VAT + €3,000 a year) | €3,000 a year, plus the upfront investment | €24,000 |
This table shows something honest: an all-in-one tool like Axonaut is usually cheaper than custom software over 3 years, as long as the subscription stays moderate. Custom software is not justified by savings, but by what the standard tool cannot do and by the time lost working around it. That time can be quantified too: the method is in the 3-year total cost of SaaS versus custom software.
Signs that Axonaut is no longer enough
- Your core operations live elsewhere: field service scheduling, production tracking, detailed inventory, delivery routes. Axonaut handles sales and admin, not your operations.
- Double entry keeps growing between Axonaut, spreadsheets and other software.
- You need a customer or partner portal with precise permissions.
- Roles are getting more complex: several sites, several departments, chained approvals.
- Your quotes require business calculations the standard quoting module cannot handle.
If only one or two of these apply, leaving Axonaut is not necessarily the answer: a business tool connected to it may be enough.
When to keep Axonaut
I would advise you to keep Axonaut if:
- it covers your quotes, invoices and expenses without workarounds;
- your operations are simple or already handled by specialized software;
- you want French e-invoicing compliance without a project: an off-the-shelf tool keeps up with the reform for you;
- your investment budget is below $6,800 (€6,000)excl. VAT: that is the floor for a business app that is usable in production.
A useful reminder: according to the French Ministry of the Economy, all companies in France must be able to receive electronic invoices since September 1, 2026, and small and mid-sized companies must issue them by September 1, 2027. I recommend leaving that part to off-the-shelf software or a certified platform.
What the custom alternative costs
| Project | Scope | Indicative budget | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Companion business tool | The process Axonaut does not cover, connected to your invoicing tool | $6,800 to $13,500 (€6,000–€12,000)excl. VAT | 1 to 2 months |
| Sales and operations management | CRM, quotes, scheduling or production, dashboard | $13,500 to $22,400 (€12,000–€20,000)excl. VAT | 2 to 3 months |
| Integrated management system | + customer portal, accounting connections, multiple sites | $16,800 to $56,000 (€15,000–€50,000)excl. VAT (custom ERP) | 3 to 6 months |
These ranges follow my public pricing. See the business apps page, and the estimator for a range that fits your case.
Where to start
- List what happens outside Axonaut: files, side software, double entry.
- Ask Axonaut for a written quote for your team size: it is your basis for comparison.
- A 30-minute call to decide between keeping, extending or replacing.
- Scoping (1 to 2 weeks): scope, data exchange with invoicing, fixed quote.
- Mockups, development in batches, go-live, with data migration and three months of support.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Axonaut cost for a 30-person company?
Axonaut does not publish a fixed price for companies with 10 or more employees: the plan is quote-based, depending on team size and needs, with onboarding support. Ask for a written quote before making any comparison.
Does Axonaut require a commitment?
According to Axonaut’s support site, the monthly plan has no commitment, and annual or two-year plans come with a discount (at least 10% annually, 20% over two years). An exit can therefore be planned for the end of the chosen term.
Can we keep Axonaut for invoicing and add a business tool?
Yes. A custom tool can handle your core operations (scheduling, production, field service, customer portal) and pass billing data to Axonaut or your accounting software, depending on the available exchange options, which are checked during scoping.
Can a custom tool handle e-invoicing?
It can prepare invoices, but I recommend sending them through a certified platform or compatible software rather than building that part yourself: the standard keeps evolving, and maintaining it is these vendors' job.
