How much does a custom web app cost?

Between $4,000 (€3,500)excl. VAT to turn a website into a PWA and $56,200 (€50,000)excl. VAT for a complete ERP. Most small-business apps fall between $6,800 and $22,500 (€6,000–€20,000)excl. VAT. Here are the details, no small print.

Price ranges

Prices excluding VAT. Indicative ranges: the fixed quote is drawn up after the scoping phase. Dollar amounts are converted from euros at the European Central Bank rate of October 2, 2026 and rounded up; quotes and invoices are issued in euros.

What affects the price

01

The number of screens and features

This is the main factor: every screen, form and business rule takes design and development time.

02

The types of users

A tool for a single team costs less than a platform with client, partner and admin areas, each with different permissions.

03

Connections to other tools

Online payment, accounting software, CRM, Google Maps, AI: each integration adds work and sometimes a usage cost.

04

Data migration

Importing a clean history is quick; cleaning up years of inconsistent files takes longer.

05

The level of finish

A polished standard interface or a highly crafted design with animations: both are possible, at different budgets.

06

The deadline

A tight schedule means parallelising the work, which increases the budget.

Always included

  • Scoping and requirements document
  • Mockups to approve before development
  • Development in tested batches
  • Go-live and training
  • 3 months of support
  • Code handed over after payment

To budget for afterwards

  • Hosting: a few tens to a few hundred euros a year
  • Third-party services by usage: payment, emails, AI, maps
  • Maintenance and new features: as a package or by the hour
  • Domain name and any licenses

Pricing FAQ

How much does a custom web app cost?

Between $4,000 (€3,500)excl. VAT to turn an existing website into a PWA and $56,200 (€50,000)excl. VAT for a complete ERP. Most small-business apps fall between $6,800 and $22,500 (€6,000–€20,000)excl. VAT. The quote becomes fixed after a scoping phase.

Why ranges rather than a fixed price?

Because two "CRMs" can have nothing in common. The ranges give an honest order of magnitude; scoping then allows a fixed quote, which no longer changes unless you add features.

What are the costs after go-live?

Hosting (from a few tens to a few hundred euros a year for a small business), any third-party services billed by usage (payment, emails, AI, maps), and maintenance or new features, as a package or by the hour. Three months of support are included after the production launch.

How does payment work?

A 50% deposit at the start, then the balance according to the schedule set out in the quote, usually as batches are delivered. Prices are shown excluding VAT.

Who owns the app?

You do. The source code and the rights to use it are transferred to you once the project is paid in full.

Why pay when I can do it myself with AI?

For a prototype, AI is often enough and I encourage you to use it. It becomes risky when the app handles clients, data or payments. Two options cheaper than a full project: hourly coaching to carry on alone, or taking over your prototype, which then becomes the specification.

How can I reduce the budget?

By starting with a first version limited to the essential features (MVP), by reusing your existing tools when they do the job, and by keeping no-code for simple automations.
